Mucano is a small, independent software studio. We build tools for people who make things, and we build them slowly and carefully: measured, tested, and made to behave the same on every device they run on.
Our first product
Paintorio
A painting app where every artwork is a recorded performance. Finished paintings hang in a museum, and when you walk up to one it paints itself again, stroke by stroke, the way it was made.
How we work
- Details first. A pencil stroke should look like a pencil stroke. Our brushes are tuned against scans of real pencils, charcoal, pastels and pens on real paper.
- The same everywhere. A painting should look identical on a tablet and on a desktop computer, and our painting engine is built around exactly that.
- Open where it matters. Paintorio paints in OpenPaint, an open, documented format, so your work is not locked inside one app.
